Growing Pains

Being on Church staff is great. Knowing that the work we do has an eternal impact on people’s lives is amazing. Having an eternal impact on people’s hearing, however – isn’t great at all.

There is a facet of full-time ministry that I’m less fond of: church logistics. These are the things that people don’t see (or shouldn’t) that go on behind the scenes, to facilitate the ministry of the church. Sound, video, rugs and lights, donut pickup, trailer stuff, etc… are all pieces of the beautiful entity that is Dayspring. When one of these goes wrong however, it can be very disruptive.

We are a church with a passion for excellence. This past Sunday, our sound didn’t reflect that. This is a growing pain of being portable, and having limited access to our equipment. While I can’t promise that it will never happen again, I can promise that my desire is that our sound be excellent and (as with all things Dayspring) to the glory of our great God alone.

Thank you for your support as we grow numerically and logistically, and thank you for supporting me as your worship leader and creative director. I’m incredibly blessed to be a part of Dayspring!
