Parent’s Night Out

Home Slideshow Parents Night OutParent’s Night Out is an evening event benefiting Dayspring Youth’s mission to feed hungry children around the world. Our youth will be fasting for 30 hours and raising funds for World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine. Just $35 will feed and care for a child for an entire month! Your donation of any amount is appreciated.

Dayspring Youth’s 30 Hour Famine:

On April 17-18, 2014, the Dayspring UMC youth will participate in World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine. In order to experience (in a small way) what millions of children around the world face each day, our youth will not eat for 30 hours! It’s pretty crazy to think teenagers will not be eating – but that is what is going to happen.

We know it won’t be easy, but it will be worth it. We, the youth at Dayspring, are determined to do OUR part to help make hunger part of history, not part of the present. We don’t think it’s right that nearly 9,500 kids are dying from hunger every day, so we are going to do something to help. Through World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine, we are RELEASING THE FEAST!

The Famine is Dayspring’s chance to make a difference by putting our faith into action and doing something to help stop world wide hunger in children. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for World Vision. Every $35 we raise will feed and care for a child for one month!

Thank you for sponsoring us as we go without so others can eat.

Thank you!

The Youth of Dayspring UMC

How the Famine works:

  1. Students LEARN the truth about global hunger and discover what God wants us all to do about it.
  2. We RAISE FUNDS to fight hunger (that’s where YOU come in).
  3. We grow closer to God and each other as we FAST FOR 30 HOURS.
  4. LIVES ARE CHANGED because of the money we raise!
