“It is finished.” –John 19:30
The work of Jesus- his mission of salvation, restoration and healing- has come to completion and fulfillment. Because of what he finished, you and I are never finished with the work of proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God.
“Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” –Luke 23:46
In Jesus’ final words, he provides for us the model of perfect trust that God the Father will provide for us, even in our darkest hours.
