Summer Reading III- Philippians

Philippians ReadingThis week’s readings will be shorter than the last two weeks because Philippians is shorter than both Galatians and Ephesians.  I hope that you will have an opportunity to slow down your pace and spend more time thinking critically about the meaning of each verse that you read.  We too easily fall into the trap of thinking that more is better: the more I read, the more meaningful my experience will be.  However, there is a point of diminishing returns!  Take some time to read, and reread, slowly.  You will be begin to see details and come to new understanding that simply isn’t possible when we’re trying to get through too much content.  Enjoy!

Peace in Christ,

Pastor Matt

P.S. This is the link to my sermon that sets the stage for a deeper encounter with Paul’s Letter to the Philippians.
