Parent Cue

Today in Worship Jr. we learned:

Weekly Focus: God wants friends to help each other.

Bible Story: King David looks for anyone left in Jonathan’s family so he can show kindness to them. 1 Samuel 20:14-17, 2 Samuel 9:1-13

Follow-up Activity: Who helps you when you need help? How many different ways can you help others and be a good friend? This week take turns saying the Bible verse as you bathe your child. Think of a different way you can help others each time you say it and add it to the end of the verse. You could say, “Two are better than one. They can help each other (clean their room)”

Memory Verse: Two people are better than one. They can help each other in everything they do. Ecclesiastes 4:9

Today in Kids Worship we learned:

Main Point: I will have a good attitude, no matter what.

Bible Story: Paul in Prison- Acts 16:16-25

Discussion Starter: Paul and Silas had a good attitude, even though they were in a very bad situation. Can you think of a time you have needed a good attitude even though things didn’t go your way? Why is it important to have a good attitude even in the bad times? As believers, we send a powerful message to those around us when our attitude is good even in trying times. This week, help kids focus on the good things they have and work to encourage them when things don’t go their way.

Memory Verse: Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Mission Project: We are collecting pencils, stickers, small game items and crayons to take to our Compassion Kids in Dominican Republic.
