Teach Us To Pray: Trust Me

If “being real” with God is the first step toward a healthier prayer life, trust is a logical next step. As our relationship develops what usually follows is a strong desire to discern and live out God’s will for our lives, but that part is not always clear. One practical way to start that journey of discovery is to begin by proclaiming our trust, even if we do not know where to go or what to do. By proclaiming that trust it gives our faith feet and opens the door for God to do much more than we could ever imagine.

Questions for discussion:

  • What do you think was the main point of Matt’s message?
  • How would you define trust?
  • What is the benefit of using scripture to proclaim your trust in God?
  • What are some things you can do this week to exercise your trust in God?

Do Something about it:

Trust is a great starting place for any relationship. This week look for ways to practice your trust in God. Begin by using “trust” scriptures during your prayer time to proclaim that trust and then look for every day opportunities to live it out.
