When I Met Jesus: Melissa Littlefield

Many of us are inspired by moving testimonies like that of the Apostle Paul. At the same time, these testimonies sometimes cause those of us who do not have dramatic conversion experiences to wonder if our own testimonies are worth sharing. The truth is that we all meet the Lord in different ways, at different times in our lives. This mere fact demonstrates that God cares about us personally and touches each of our lives in ways that are designed to have an impact on us and those in our spheres of influence.

God has not called all of us to be Pauls or Billy Grahams, but we have been charged to “share the hope that is within us” with those in our lives. Is there someone out there who God is calling you to share your hope with?

Questions for discussion:

  • What do you think was the main point of Matt’s message?
  • What about Melissa’s story resonates with you, personally?
  • What does Jesus’ interactions with Zacchaeus teach us about sharing His story?
  • Who, in your current sphere of influence, might God be calling you to share your story with?

Do something about it: This week pray, if you are not sure of about your relationship with Jesus, that God will reveal Himself to you in a clear and affirming way. If you are confident in that relationship ask God to give you the opportunity to share your story with someone who needs the hope and joy that Jesus offers.
