Today in Worship Jr. we learned:
Monthly Question: Who can you trust? I can trust God
Bible Story: Jonah learns the hard way that God’s way is always best- from Jonah 1:1-3:10
Follow Up Activity: cut a few simple fish shapes out of a clean kitchen sponge. Add these to your child’s bath and ask them to count them. Talk about how God used a HUGE fish to keep Jonah safe in the water. Jonah prayed to God while he was in the fish and said he was sorry, and then he did what God said.
Memory Verse: “Trust the Lord with all your heart” Proverbs 3:5
Today in Kids Worship we learned:
Main Point: God is my friend, so I will spend time with Him!
Bible Story: David in the wilderness – from 1 Samuel 19-20, Psalm 57:5-7
Discussion Starter: Reading our Bible is one way we can spend time with God. Take the time to look up the Bible verse with your child. Help them look up the book in the table of contents, and turn to the correct page. Teach them to look for the big number (that’s the chapter) and the small number (that’s the verse). You might also share what you do to spend time with God every day.
Memory Verse: And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8b
We hope to see you at the Big Event on September 25 at Pine Cove!
